Got his start with Irish trainer Des McDonagh. Rode his first winner, Brickway, on May 7, 1986, at Downpatrick Racecourse in Northern Ireland. Also rode Bon Fleur to win 2005 AFLAC U.S. Championship Supreme Hurdle.
