Hudson River Farms
Bio: Hudson River Farms is the racing operation of Edward P. Swyer, an Albany, N.Y. real-estate executive. He is active in environmental projects and established the 787-acre Lewis A. Swyer Mill Creek preserve, named for his father, along the Hudson River in Columbia County, N.Y. Active in steeplechase racing for more than 20 years, Hudson River Farms races Arcadius, winner of the 2010 Helen Haskell Sampson (Gr. 1) at Monmouth Park. He had two winners at Saratoga in 2011 with Royal Rossi and Parker's Project in optional allowance races. Jonathan Sheppard trains for Hudson River Farms.
