Bio: Irvin S. Naylor, a York, Pa., businessman and philanthropist, ranked second by 2013 earnings with $505,450. Campaigned three-time stakes winner Decoy Daddy and promising novice Sacred Soul in 2013. Established a record for earnings by an owner in 2011 with $719,725, breaking the former mark by more than $100,000. Also was the earnings leader in 2010 and 2012, when his stable won 13 races and earned $449,075. Won his first Eclipse Award in 2011 with Black Jack Blues. Also campaigned two-time $150,000 Calvin Houghland Iroquois (Gr. 1) winner Tax Ruling, who made the transition to timber racing in 2013. A longtime steeplechase participant who until recent years has concentrated almost exclusively on timber racing, Naylor owns Still Water Farm in Butler, Md., and has horses with several trainers.
