Lucy A. Goelet
Bio: Lucy A. Goelet had one win from three starts by Twill Do in 2010, and his second effort was a hard-fought five-length victory in the Maryland Hunt Cup on April 24. That win, coupled with a fourth in the Grand National timber stakes a week earlier, gave her purse earnings of $46,750 for the year. The Glencoe, Md., resident is a fellow of the Royal Geographic Society and early in her career was a special assistant and editor for explorer Laurens van de Post. She is a board member of the Bhutan Foundation and also serves on the advisory council of the Johns Hopkins Sheridan Libraries.
