The Fields Stable
Bio: With a compact operation of four runners, The Fields Stable had two wins from nine starts in 2011 for earnings of $71,400. Both wins were by three-year-old champion Wanganui, in the Gladstone at Far Hills, N.J., and the Raymond G. Woolfe Memorial at the Colonial Cup in Camden, S.C. Your Sum Man, winner of the 2009 Grand National (Gr. 1) at Far Hills, had two stakes placings in 2011. The operation is named for the Bedminster, N.J., property of nonagenarian Betty Mead Merck, who is the co-owner with son Laddie. Tom Voss trains for The Fields Stable.
