I had a wonderful weekend in Nashville ze “Music City”, even zough I didn’t get to meet Dolly Parton, which would have been fun. She wears a lot of pink too, no? A few weeks ago I got on ze van to go racing but zen I didn’t race. Do I look like a cheerleader to you? No. So yesterday we “got down to business” as you Americans say. Mind you, after so long of zese people holding me back and making me go so slow I was a little soft, and zere was a good bit of lead in zat saddle, but I am hard now! And my little friend Stanley was in ze race too! Stanley is a fellow countryman in ze barn but he is young and seems very American despite being born in France. But we are comrades and we hung out together all weekend. I showed him a zing or two about jumping on Saturday. He was next to me a lot and I would go down to a hurdle and tell him “Come on Stanley, one, two… ” (and zen I jump instead of saying “zree” heeheehee). It is all in good fun. I am glad to get back out and about. I like South Carolina but I am in ze prime of my life no? Ze world is my oyster and I want to see a bit more of it. I hope we will go on more road trips soon.
