Leading owner Irv Naylor’s All That Rules broke away from his competition on Sunday and ruled the High Hope Steeplechase’s $25,000 James B. Holloway optional allowance hurdle by 16 3/4 lengths at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington.
Owner-trainer Jonathan Sheppard’s As You Like It finished second, and The Elkstone Group’s Bodie Island took third money.
Trained by Cyril Murphy, All That Rules was ridden to victory by Ross Geraghty. The seven-year-old Galileo gelding ran the Holloway’s 2 1/8 miles in 4:17 on soft turf. The British-bred hurdler was making his first start of 2016 and had closed out his 2015 campaign with a second in a Colonial Cup ratings handicap.
