Ann Jackson’s Boogie Feeva closed well under Jack Doyle to win the Marion DuPont Colonial Cup’s $25,000 Raymond G. Woolfe Memorial for three-year-olds by two lengths on Saturday. Bill Pape’s Giza finished second, and pacemaker Buckrail finished third, 2 3/4 lengths farther back.
Trained by Todd Wyatt, Boogie Feeva ran the Woolfe Memorial’s two miles in 3:44.80 on a Springdale Race Course rated as good.
DASH Stable’s Ice It fell on the final turn but nonetheless claimed the year’s three-year-old championship on the strength of his win in Far Hills’ Gladstone and a second in a Shawan Downs maiden hurdle won by Susan Y. Granville’s Buckrail, who finished second in the standings.
