The My Lady’s Manor has canceled its meet, which had been scheduled for Saturday, April 11. Following is an excerpt from a letter to My Lady’s Manor sponsors, patrons, and friends of the popular Maryland meet.
The health and safety of our community is of the utmost importance to our race committee and our Foundation. The Executive Order issued by Governor Hogan prohibits us from conducting the races and would actually impose criminal penalties for doing so. The Order has no termination date. Now is when we would be spending lots of time and money preparing for the races. For us to do so in light of the Executive Order would be irresponsible. We have made the extremely difficult decision to cancel this year’s running of the My Lady’s Manor Steeplechase Races currently scheduled for April 11, 2020. We deeply appreciate your patience and your support.
