The National Steeplechase Association’s Board of Directors has initiated a membership survey to determine which current Patron Member benefits are most valued and to identify features that will both attract new Patron Members and retain current ones.
The survey was launched in early August by a Board of Directors membership subcommittee headed by Nick Ellis, who is assisted by Dwight Hall and Richard Hutchinson. Providing logistical support is Don Clippinger, the NSA’s communications consultant.
“NSA President Guy Torsilieri charged us with the task of energizing the Patron Member level, because these individuals are so important to our sport. They are the trend-setters; they own or train horses; they are the ones who do so much to make our race meets a success,” Ellis said.
“We thought that a survey would be an important first step so that we could receive direct input on the benefits that are most important to Patron Members and the features that they would like to see as a part of their membership package.
“With their input, we will develop a Patron Member package that speaks directly to their wants and needs, and we will launch a campaign to bolster our Patron Member level by emphasizing new and current benefits of membership, Ellis said.
The anonymous survey was sent to all NSA members, and Ellis urged them to complete the short list of questions. “With our members’ responses and support, we can focus on the needs and wishes of Patron Members and deliver a package that offers them true value,” he said.
National Steeplechase Association Patron and Regular Members who have misplaced their survey e-mail and wish to participate are asked to contact Clippinger at rebbitz@yahoo.com.
