Four longtime National Steeplechase Association officers and a prominent owner were elected to the organization’s Board of Directors at the NSA’s annual meeting on Friday in Camden, S.C.
The officers elected to the board were: Chairman Beverly R. Steinman, chairman of the Carolina Cup Racing Association; President Guy J. Torsilieri, chairman of the Far Hills Races; Vice President Doug Fout, a Virginia-based trainer who is race director of the Middleburg Spring Races; and Dwight Hall, chairman of the Iroquois Steeplechase and chairman of the NSA’s Stewards Advisory Committee.
Also elected to the board was George P. Mahoney Jr., a Maryland business executive who races as Rosbrian Farm.
Miss Steinman, Hall, and Mahoney were elected to their second three-year terms. Torsilieri and Fout were elected to new three-year terms.
