It’s the seat of history. It’s the seat of elegance. It’s the seat of excitement. And, it’s the best seat in the house for the inaugural Steeplechase Festival at Saratoga on Saturday, September 15.
Patrons of the Steeplechase Festival of Saratoga will be able to reserve storied Clubhouse Boxes at Saratoga Race Course. For one glorious afternoon of steeplechase racing, you and your guests will occupy the boxes reserved for Saratoga’s long-time patrons, the best-known names in racing.
“We are most grateful to the New York Racing Association for making available both the race course and its facilities for the first Steeplechase Festival at Saratoga,” said Co-chair Bob Giordano. “The Clubhouse Boxes epitomize Saratoga, both its past and its present. Now, Steeplechase Festival patrons can occupy this truly historic space.”
The box seats will be prime vantage points for the many events planned for the first Steeplechase Festival at Saratoga. Boxholders will see five races, four over fences, with purses totaling $100,000. A carriage parade on the main track also is in the works.
Boxholders can spread out their race-day meals, whether it’s a picnic lunch or a fancy spread, in their special Saratoga spaces. Reserving a box for the 2012 Steeplechase Festival gives the boxholder the right to reserve the box in future years.
Among those reserving their Clubhouse Boxes is Beverly Steinman, chairman of the National Steeplechase Association and a long-time Saratoga Springs property owner.
Clubhouse Boxes remain available at $249 each. Reserving a Clubhouse Box provides four admissions to the Steeplechase Festival.
