Steeplechase jockeys will be signing autographs and giving out t-shirts to supporters of the American Steeplechase Injured Jockeys Fund after the running of the $150,000 New York Turf Writers Cup (Gr. 1) at Saratoga Race Course on Thursday, Aug. 22.
The t-shirt, for contributors to the nonprofit American Steeplechase Injured Jockey Fund, features racing and steeplechase images by Peb, Tod Marks, Douglas Lees, Catherine French, and Jack Megaw.
In addition to meeting the jump jockeys at the community table behind the jockeys’ room, Saratoga patrons will have an opportunity to meet author and former steeplechase jockey Anne Hambleton, who will be autographing her award-winning book RAJA, Story of a Racehorse. RAJA was a Mom’s Choice gold medal winner and a Best of 2012 Indie book by Kirkus Reviews. Also available will be autographed copies of HCP Sports’ Steeplechasing Year in Review DVD.
Contributions to the American Steeplechase Injured Jockeys Fund are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by the Internal Revenue Code.
